Biochem/physiol Actions

C-C motif chemokine ligand 18 (CCL18) has immunological functions and is associated with tumor progression. It is secreted by tumor associated macrophages (TAMs). The protein recruits naive T-cells and dendritic cells, and induces regulatory T-cells. It also acts as a chemokine for helper T lymphocytes and cytotoxic T lymphocytes. CCL18 has been implicated in the pathogenesis of many cancers.

General description

The Human PARC ELISA (Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay) kit is an in vitro enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay for the quantitative measurement of human PARC in serum, plasma, cell culture supernatants and urine.

CC chemokine ligand 18 (CCL18) is expressed at high levels in human lung and serum. This CC chemokine can be found in primates only. The CCL18 gene is mapped to thehuman chromosome17q11.2.
