Il12rb2 (interleukin 12 receptor subunit β 2) stimulates the release of interferon γ and Th1 (T helper cell 1) cell differentiation, as a part of autoimmune response. Il12rb2’;s major function is associated with cell mediated immune system. In mice model, deletion of L12RB2 gene is associated with autoimmune and malignant disorders.

General description

This ELISA antibody pair detects human IL-12 R beta 2. Other species not yet determined.

The IL12RB2 (interleukin 12 receptor subunit β 2) gene is mapped to human chromosome 1p31.3 and codes for the β2 chain (130 kDa) of IL-12 receptor.
