Nicotinamide (Niacinamide), belonging to the class of water-soluble B vitamins, is typically produced from nicotinic acid (vitamin B3). It is found as a component of food products. It has been suggested for the treatment of pellagra, psoriasis,schizophrenia, andtype I diabetes. It also exhibits anti-inflammatory activity.
