Biochem/physiol Actions

Selective 5-HT₂ serotonin receptor antagonist. Ketanserin significantly reduces nicotine self-administration in rats, supporting an unexpected involvement of serotonin in nicotine addiction.

Ketanserin stimulates collagen synthesis and is involved in wound healing.
