General description
The integrin family of cell adhesion receptors consists of at least 16 membrane-associated heterodimers, composed of an alpha and beta subunit that associate in a non-covalent manner. The involvement of integrins in vascular proliferation, adhesion, and wound repair has been well documented. The adhesion receptor, integrin alphaVbeta3, appears to be selectively expressed on growing blood vessels and has been identified as a marker of angiogenic vascular tissue.
Clone Ab62 is a monoclonal antibody that specifically recognizes the LIBS2 epitope in the C-terminal region of the extracellular domain of the beta3 subunit (Wiberzbicka-Patynowski, I., et al. (1999). JBC. 274(53):37809-37814).

Purified mouse monoclonal IgG2aκ in buffer containing 0.1 M Tris-Glycine (pH 7.4), 150 mM NaCl with 0.05% sodium azide.
Quality
Evaluated by Western Blot in human platelets cell lysate.
Western Blot Analysis: 0.5 µg/mL of this antibody detected LIBS2 domain of integrin beta3 subunit in 10 µg of human platelets cell lysate.
Specificity
This antibody recognizes the LIBS2 epitope in the C-terminal region of the extracellular domain of the beta3 subunit of integrins.

Stable for 1 year at 2-8°C from date of receipt.
Target description
~110 kDa observed in human platelets.
Other MW bands may vary or may be observed depending on lysate used and if the LIBS2 epitope is present in other proteins.
