Clifton® digital circulating baths are designed for circulation of temperature controlled water or heat transfer fluids in a closed circuit or for maintaining a stable temperature environment in the bath for the immersion of flasks, bottles and racks. Clifton® circulating baths are constructed using durable stainless steel, painted surfaces are powder coated with tough antibacterial finish with good chemical resistance. Easy to use controls that wipe clean also have an anti-bacterial finish. Immersed components are corrosion resistant. Quiet running in use and providing excellent water temperature stability. Indication of heating, over temperature alarm and timer running. This range features the ability to pump temperature controlled liquid around a closed circuit. Featuring a circulation pump with the capacity of 10L per minute. In addition to circulating around a closed vessel, they have the capability of operating up to 130°C.
- Designed for external circulation of temperature controlled water and heat transfer fluids in a closed circuit or for maintaining a stable temperature environment in the bath for the immersion of flasks, bottles and racks
- Efficient water movement and temperature control provides accurate temperature stability throughout the water bath
- Before leaving our factory every water bath is identified with a unique serial number and undergoes a factory calibration adjusting control to known traceable value, electrically tested for safety at final inspection and a test certificate enclosed in rear of the instruction book
- Painted surfaces feature "anti-bacterial technology" which inhibits bacterial growth, improving hygiene requirements as demanded by clinical and laboratory environments
Safety features:
- Features a low liquid level float switch, which ensures heating, is switched off if the liquid falls below the recommended level - display will show "FILL", heating is switched off but stirring continues, to reset carefully top up the liquid to the recommended level
- The under/over temperature alarm is automatically set 4°C above and 4°C below set temperature, when in alarm condition the indicator illuminates and actual bath temperature is shown; if bath is over temperature both heating and stirring are switched off, once liquid temperature has fallen or risen above/below the alarm setting, the indicator clears and actual bath temperature is shown
- A second safety device can be set just above the working temperature protecting samples
Controls
- Featuring a bold LED display of measured temperatures in real-time and in increments of ±0.1°C, using a precision PID temperature controller
- Setting for water temperature only or combination of temperature and time
- Timer setting variable in 1-minute increments from 00:01 [hh:mm] to 99:59 [hh:mm] with “end” message on completion of the timed period
- Time and temperature settings are retained in the memory, even after the unit has been turned off
- Easy to use controls, utilising touch keypads for setting time and temperature values with indicators for heating, over temperature alarm and timer
- The heater unit can be set to run at a set temperature or commence the timer once the water reaches set temperature
- Every unit undergoes a factory calibration at 37 and 85°C for validation
Heating/cooling information:
- For cooling a liquid bath use an accessory immersion cooler DC1-300
- Where bath temperatures are below ambient a mix of glycol and water is recommended
- A lid or layer of spheres for insulation is recommended
- The water bath should be used in ambient temperature 20°C
- For liquid temperatures above 60°C an accessory lid or layer of spheres is recommended for optimum performance, this will reduce evaporation and a lid will keep the samples and liquid free from contamination; optimum performance saves energy by reducing electricity consumption and running costs
