Biochem/physiol Actions
The BMX gene encodes a novel non-receptor tyrosine kinase, which may play a role in the growth and differentiation of hematopoietic cells. Bmx induces the activation of the Stat-signaling pathway.
Physical form
Solution of 50 µL in 50 mM Tris-HCl, pH 7.5, 150 mM NaCl, 0.25 mM DTT, 0.1 mM EGTA, and 30% glycerol.
Unit Definition
Kinase activity is measured as the molar amount of phosphate incorporated into Poly Glu-Tyr substrate per minute per mg protein at 30 °C using a final concentration of 50 µM [32P]-ATP.
