Application
The NAG standard is used for the determination of NAG activity in urine in life science research applications, with the aid of N-acetyl-β-D-glucosaminidase. It can be used in automatic analyzers.
General description
Standard for the determination of NAG activity in urine research samples with the aid of the Test-Combination N-acetyl-β-D-glucosaminidase.N-Acetyl-β-D-Glucosaminidase is a high molecular weight lysosomal enzyme existing as two isofomrs, Isoenzyme-A and Isoenzyme-B. It is present in human kidney. It has high molecular weight. It is highly active in renal proximal tubular cells. It has been reported that overexpressed urine-NAG reflects the proximal tubular dysfunction of the kidney.
Other Notes
For life science research only. Not for use in diagnostic procedures.
