General description
Pseudomonas Selective Broth is a Selective media for the growth of Pseudomonas species and inhibits the growth of other bacteria. Tryptone and gelatin peptone in the media supplies nitrogenous and carbonaceous compounds, long chain amino acids, and other essential growth nutrients.{13} This medium is recommended for enumeration of Pseudomonas species from meat and meat products. It can also be used for clinical samples. Pseudomonas species produce small colourless to translucent yellow colonies when incubated at 25−35 °C (35 °C during 24h is favourable to P. aeruginosa, 25 °C for Pseudomonas species)
