Application

EZ-FIT® filtration units are used for the bioburden testing of liquid samples, including in-process and final product samples (beverages, pharmaceuticals, and water). They are also used in industrial QC and water monitoring.

General description

The EZ-FIT® filtration units are sterile, single-use filtration devices made of black, gridded, and mixed cellulose esters (MCE) membrane with a pink base. They ensure a safe and fast way of performing membrane filtration and provide time saving and reliable microbial enumeration results. The filters prevent any leaks or sample by-pass of the membrane. The samples are covered by a vented lid throughout filtration and protected from contamination by a 360° rim that prevents forceps from accidentally touching the membrane filtration area. The process of filtration can be visualized until the end at any angle with the clear and transparent funnel material. These filtration units minimize sample residue and can be stacked to save the work area. They are disposable and designed to fit onto the EZ-FIT® Manifold, which features specific EZ-FIT® Filtration heads. It can also fit onto a standard #8 stopper. The bulk packaged units are provided with a protective plastic bag.
