Application
Tryptic Soy Agar is suitable for the cultivation and isolation of fastidious bacteria, yeasts, and fungi. The media is suitable for a large range of applications, including cultivation, maintenance of stock culture, and total aerobic microbial count. Its applications also include phage and colicin typing, X- and V-factor tests, and geno- and electrotyping (e.g. pulsed-field gel electrophoresis). TSA is applied especially for the determination of bacterial contamination of cosmetics, drinking water, and wastewater.
Features and Benefits
Our ready-to-use media provide the highest level of quality and testing confidence. They have been formulated and tested to meet the pharmacopoeia requirements. Sterility testing media and rinse solutions are manufactured in an ISO 9001, environmentally controlled production center. Each lot undergoes a stringent quality control (QC) procedure, including pH, sterility, and growth promotion tests. Our manufacturing approach ensures the highest level of clarity for our media and rinsing fluids, therefore improving accuracy, and significantly reducing the risk of incorrect interpretation and false results.
