NaCl Peptone Broth is a general diluent used for sample preparation. The solution’;s low peptone content maintains organisms’; viability without promoting growth. Sodium chloride maintains the osmotic balance of the medium, thereby preserving cell integrity. The neutral range of medium pH is optimum for the viability of microorganisms.
