The mixer mills are true laboratory “all-rounders"". They have been developed specially for grinding, homogenizing and mixing of small sample amounts in only a few seconds. They are also perfectly suitable for the disruption of biological cells as well as for DNA/RNA extraction. The MM 400 can also be used for wet and cryogenic grinding. The CryoMill is designed for the cryogenic size reduction of materials which cannot be ground at room temperature or whose composition would be changed by it. The grinding jar is cooled before and during the grinding process with liquid nitrogen through an integrated cooling system. Thus the sample is embrittled and its volatile components are preserved. The CryoMill can also be operated without the cooling system which makes it suitable for a wide range of applications.Features MM 200 / MM 400:

  • Reproducible, efficient grinding, mixing and homogenization in seconds
  • Powerful grinding by impact and friction, up to 30 Hz for up to 20 samples per run
  • 3 different grinding modes: dry, wet or cryogenic (MM 400)
  • Screw-top grinding jars for leak-proof grinding (MM 400)
  • 9 Standard Operating Procedures can be stored
  • Wide range of accessories including various jar and ball sizes, adapter racks, grinding tool materialsFeatures CryoMill:
  • Powerful cryogenic grinding by impact and friction, up to 30 Hz
  • Closed LN2-system (autofill) for enhanced safety, avoids any contact of the user with LN2 (ordered separately)
  • Screw-top grinding jars for convenient, leak-proof operation
  • Clearly structured user interface, memory for 9 SOPs
  • Wide range of accessories including various LN2 feeding systems, jar and ball sizes, adapter racks, materials
