The AquaSnap Total swabs are designed to rapidly assess the standards of hygiene and equipment sanitation processes. These swabs also assess the efficiency of Clean In Place (CIP) systems by detecting the presence of organic contamination from microbial and product residues. The AquaSnap Free swabs don't use the agent on the dipper, like the AquaSnap Total swabs, only detecting free (soluble) ATP in the sample. The difference between Total and Free ATP provides a measure of microbial contamination in the sample.

AquaSnap swabs have a honey-comb shaped dipper which is coated with an agent that aids in sample collection and extraction of ATP from microbial and other organic cells. This specifically designed dipper tip collects 100µL of water ensuring consistent sample collection. For both Total and Free simply collect your sample, activate and place it in your Hygiena instrument for cleanliness results in 15 seconds.
