Application
Active human cathepsin V is useful for the study of enzyme kinetics, screening inhibitors, and selectivity profiling. Active human cathepsin V has been used in a study to assess the cysteine protease attribute of the eukaryotic ribosomal protein S4. Active human cathepsin V has also been used in a study to determine that the simultaneous treatment of human bronchial epithelial cells with serine and cysteine protease inhibitors prevents severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus entry.
General description
Human cathepsin V (GenBank Accession No. NM_001333.2), CD33 signal peptide(amino acids 1-16) + cathepsin V (amino acids 18-334), with C-terminal HIS tag, MW = 37 kDa, expressed in FreeStyle 293-F cells.
Legal Information
