CoZap is used for rapid removal of Coomassie Blue stain from electrophoresis gels without the need to change the destaining solution. CoZap is a unique pad that has a high absorbance for Coomassie blue stain and is thus very effective in destaining gels. CoZap absorbs any free dye in the solution making gel destaining 20% faster than with the conventional method. It is one of the most effective destaining methods on the market. CoZap pads are biodegradable and require no special disposal unless contaminated with radiolabeled or other hazardous substances.
