Application

EPA 525 Fortification Solution A is used as a CRM to quantify polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAHs) in cigarettes and sidestream cigarette smoke by gas chromatography-mass spectrometry (GC-MS). It may be used as a CRM in the microwave-assisted extraction of PAHs, polychlorinated biphenyls, phthalate esters, and nonylphenols from biota samples such as oysters, mussels, and fish liver and sediment samples before their quantification using GC-MS.

General description

EPA 525 Fortification Solution A is a multi-component solution containing acenaphthene-d10, chrysene-d12, and phenanthrene-d10 as certified reference materials (CRMs).For use in extraction and quantification of general purpose organics in raw source water, finished drinking water, and drinking water at various stages of treatment.
