Application
Dansyl chloride has been used for the fluorogenic labeling of xenŒstrogens, 4-nonylphenol and bisphenol A prior to their determination by high-performance liquid chromatography (HPLC) with fluorescence detection. It has also been used for the derivatization of icariin in human serum samples after oral administration of Epimedium decoction, followed by its determination using ultrasensitive LC-tandem mass spectrometry (LC-MS) and for the derivatization of antitumoral agent ES-285 in dog plasma followed by its analysis by HPLC equipped with ultraviolet and fluorescence detection.
A fluorogenic reagent for fluorescent N-terminal derivatization of amino acids and peptides and detection by reverse phase HPLC.
General description
Dansyl chloride is a fluorogenic reagent which is typically employed for the derivatization of amino acids.
