Physical form

Each pack consists of five 12-well coxsackievirus B control slides. Each slide has six positive wells, each containing cells infected with a different coxsackievirus B

(coxsackievirus B1, coxsackievirus B2, coxsackievirus B3, coxsackievirus B4, coxsackievirus B5 and coxsackievirus B6) and six uninfected (negative) wells.

Slides are provided in individually sealed foil pouches containing desiccant.

Storage and Stability

Store sealed slides at 2-8° C.

Do not use slides past the expiration date printed on the label. Do not expose to elevated temperatures.

Allow slides to come to room temperature prior to opening.

WARNINGS / PRECAUTIONS:

Precaution: Etiological agents which may be present on these specimens have been treated to render them noninfectious. However because no method can offer complete assurance that all organisms are nonviable handle all control slides and materials coming in contact with them as potentially infectious materials. Decontaminate appropriately.

Coxsackievirus B control slides may exhibit speckled nuclear staining in the coxsackie B2 negative well when stained with Coxsackievirus B Blend (3303) on coxsackievirus B2 Type-Specific reagent (3305).
