TALON® Superflow™ is a cobalt-based IMAC resin that offers a high-specificity alternative to nickel-charged resins for purifying histidine-tagged proteins.
- High specificity – designed for histidine-tagged (his-tagged) purification of recombinant proteins when purity is more important than yield.
- Different selectivity compared to nickel-charged resins – an alternative to nickel affinity resins when a different metal ion is required.
High-specificity affinity resin for IMAC chromatography
TALON® Superflow™ is used to purify his-tagged proteins from prokaryotic or eukaryotic expression systems. It is suitable for purification under native or denaturing conditions, and it can bind up to 20mg of his-tagged protein per mL resin. The resin is compatible with commonly used IMAC reagents.
His-tagged proteins sometimes require cobalt-charged IMAC resin when nickel is not the optimal choice of metal ion. TALON® Superflow™ is a high-quality option that offers different selectivity for affinity chromatography, typically providing protein with higher purity compared with nickel-based resins.
